Olympia"
di Odo Tinteri
Homage to Eduard Manet. The work to which I wanted to pay tribute…. that is "Olympia" which is now at the Musée d'Orsay. Painted it in 1864 and exhibited at the Salon of that 'year. These' intent was to get noticed and succeed. The model was known and regarded in the environment of easy virtue. Venus was not wanted, but a girl with her brazen physicality .. After running it, to my way, I could appreciate the value of language that is renewed by natural force.

the Roman ship
di Odo Tinteri
On the basis of the Roman arts documents, in which constant common elements appear, the typical Roman ship is similar to the Greek one. Ships provided with up to ten orders of rows were built.
Towers painted like stones and masts with square sails were fitted. At bow one little sloping mast with a little sail (the so called "artimone") was provided. The crew included both rowers and soldiers.
